Surfer Blood may have already offered the lead-off track from their upcoming Kanine debut, Astro Coast, on Pitchfork’s Forkcast earlier this fall, but this week the band is giving away “Floating Vibes” all good and proper. Just in time for the holidays, the fuzzy Floridian five-piece with one of the most anticipated records of 2010 wanted to give fans a little something extra before the year came to a close. Speaking of this year, Surfer Blood’s ebullient single “Swim” was just named #37 on Pitchfork’s 100 Best Tracks of 2009. Download “Swim” here
if you have yet to experience the power of its ridiculously catchy hooks.
